On this page, we would like to share some of the interesting student projects. For more details, visit also the Mechatronics Education Forum's Repository.
Drums with Arduino
NYU Tandon School of Engineering, ME-7836 Mechatronics (Spring 2015 Projects)
The goal of this project was to automate the drumset using an Arduino with the iPhone as the GUI.
AR Parrot Drone Control
NYU Tandon School of Engineering, ME-7836 Mechatronics (Spring 2015 Projects)
AR Drone is an excellent platform to help people with disabilities explore a world they wouldn't otherwise see. For that, the drone control system need to be adapted, so that people with physical disabilities have easier control of the drone through a more user-centered design.

Student Mechatronic Design Course Project, Lawrence Tech
In a dual-level (senior/graduate) Mechatronic Design Course, students at Lawrence Tech design small robots (12 x 12 in.) that can complete a simple task. The project-based learning experience is tied to a real-world problem, and supported through the structured lecture and lab sessions to guide the process. The course description and assessment data were presented at the ASEE 2015 Conference - visit the Mechatronics Education Forum's Repository for the full paper and project hand-outs.
