Mechatronics Instructor for Chattanooga State Community College at Volkswagen Academy
/Typical duties and responsibilities:
- Assist Engineering and Information Technology Division personnel with the development and delivery of courses, primarily at the Volkswagen Academy but also at other Chattanooga State Community College campuses. Course responsibilities will consist of theoretical and hands-on-training in robotics, automation, fluid power, PLC, industrial networking, automated systems and troubleshooting. -Responsible for instruction related to courses within the AAS in Engineering Systems Technology program of study with an emphasis in coursework related to robotics and industrial automated systems.
-Development of in-class and online course delivery for the knowledge-based portion of the curriculum.
-Development of labs related to the above coursework.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, or closely related discipline with an emphasis in industrial maintenance and plant technology from a regionally accredited university or college. Must have a minimum of three years quantifiable experience in an industrial maintenance, plant engineering or manufacturing environment.
