Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Mechatronics - Universiti Teknologi Brunei

It is a full-time contract. The period of contract is 3 years which is renewable subject to mutual agreement.

Applications are now invited for the position of Lecturer, Assistant Professor or Senior Assistant Professor in Mechatronics, Electrical and Electronic Engineering Programme Area, Faculty of Engineering, and suitably qualified candidates are invited to apply.

Job Requirements
Applicants must have at least an Upper Second-class Honours degree, a Master’s degree (preferably Distinction), and a Ph.D. qualification in the areas related to Mechatronics Engineering from a recognized university, and have an outstanding record of visible research and teaching excellence. Applicants should be able to develop new programmes and contribute significantly towards programme accreditation from international bodies. Applicants with relevant industrial experience and chartered engineer status will be added advantages.

The successful candidate should be able to design and teach courses and develop laboratory resources in the above area at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. A demonstrated interest and ability to assume a leadership role is highly desirable. Active participation in the activities of the Faculty and the University including research, seminar, and administration is also expected. The successful applicant is, also, expected to take a leading role in research in the area of expertise.
